A few pieces of work from some of the art students…
`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
“Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!”
He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought —
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.
And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!
One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.
“And, has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!’
He chortled in his joy.
`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
These are a few cards I made this week using markers (fun!) and pen. It was fun to do a little coloring (brought back memories from my 8-10 year old days) for a change. Let me know which is your favorite! :)
I’ve had this raw wooden plate for awhile and recently came up with the idea of painting it with acrylics. I had a lot of fun with it and think I will try a few more.
Art students busily at work.
Carli somehow missed out on getting her photo taken… :(
Our church family recently celebrated the birth of a new covenant child. This is what I made as a gift for the event.
Wedding/Christmas gift for Daniel and Galena.
This is a 12X14 Basswood plaque with gloss finish that has been in the works for awhile and just recently (this past weekend) I finally found the time to complete it. It was so much fun, I think I need to do more along the same lines as this. :-)
A look at what the Te Deum Art Class students have been diligently working on.
